About Ënaml Theory

I've spent years looking at smiles for a living.

As a dental hygienist, I sat chairside with patients every day — cleaning, assessing, caring for their teeth up close. But somewhere along the way, I started noticing something that had nothing to do with enamel or gum health.

It had to do with lip color.

Certain shades made my patients' teeth look luminous. Others — the trendy ones, the ones everyone was wearing — made beautiful, healthy teeth look dull or yellow. Nobody was talking about this. No brand was designing around it. But I couldn't unsee it.

Then life handed me a forced experiment.

When I went on Accutane, my eyes became too dry to wear most makeup. Foundation, mascara, eyeshadow — all of it was off the table. But I still wanted to feel polished. Put together. Like myself. So I leaned into the one thing I could wear: lip color.

And that's when my dental brain and my makeup obsession finally collided.

I started testing shades the way I thought about tooth enamel — through the lens of color science. Which undertones create contrast? Which ones work with the natural yellow in enamel instead of against it? The results were real. Noticeable. No Dental Hygienist had made this crossover.

So I decided to.

There's one more part of this story.

After my mother passed, I went through the memories she had kept of me over the years. One thing came up again and again — even as a little girl, I loved makeup. She saw it before I fully claimed it.

I almost went to cosmetology school before dental hygiene pulled me in a different direction. But I think I was always meant to end up here — at the intersection of both.

Ënaml Theory is what happens when a hygienist who loves makeup finally stops waiting for someone else to make the right product.

This is color science designed around your smile.

Not trends. Not whatever shade just went viral. Shades formulated to contrast against the natural undertones in tooth enamel — so your teeth look naturally brighter just from what's on your lips.

No whitening. No strips. Just smart color.
